Ingredients:
2-4 Artichokes
Garlic Salt
Pepper
Olive Oil
Balsamic Vinegar
Dipping Sauce (optional):
Mayonnaise
Dill Weed
Lemon
Step 1:
Cut the artichokes in half and place them in a pot of water on the stove set for high. Boil them for 20-40 min until they are nearly done.
Step 2:
Place them on a tray/pan and drizzle a generous amount of olive oil and balsamic vinegar on them. Flip them over and and coat on both sides.
Step 3:
Grind pepper and sprinkle garlic salt over all sides of the artichoke.
Step 4:
Grill artichokes on high. 3 minutes each side.
Dipping Sauce:
Put a half cup of mayo in a bowl. Squeeze a half of a lemon into the bowl and add generous amount of dill weed. Mix it all together. This is to your taste so adjust the ingredients accordingly. Some people like this sauce more lemony, others like more dill.
*Take a leaf off the artichoke and dip the meaty side into the sauce. Scrape off the meat and sauce together with your teeth and enjoy!
