Browned Butter, Garlic and Rosemary Mashed Potatoes

This is my new favorite recipe for mashed potatoes!

Ingredients:

Sack of Red Potatoes
Several Sprigs of Rosemary
4-6 Cloves of Garlic
Stick of Butter
1/2 Cup of Milk

Directions:

Step 1: Rinse potatoes. Chop smaller potatoes in half and larger potatoes in quarters. Put potatoes in a large pot of water over medium to high heat.

Step 2: While potatoes are cooking, finely chop the garlic and rosemary and set aside in a bowl.

Step 3: Once the potatoes are fully cooked and soft. Turn off the burner and remove the pot. Drain potatoes. Before returning the potatoes back to pot, put milk and half of the butter into the pot.

Step 4: Pour the potatoes back into the pot over the butter and milk and mash.  Cover the pot and set aside.

Step 5: In a small frying pan, melt the rest of the butter over med/low heat. Slowly add the rosemary and garlic.

Step 6: Brown the butter garlic and rosemary (it might bubble up a bit).

Step 7: Add the browned butter, garlic and rosemary to the mashed potatoes. Add salt to taste and mash again until fully mixed. Serve and enjoy!
