Rosemary Biscuits and Gravy

Biscuits:

(If I don't have the time to make homemade biscuits, I use a simple Bisquick recipe)

2 cups flour
1tsp sugar
3tsp baking powder
1tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
3/4 cup buttermilk

Preheat the oven to 450. Grease baking sheet. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the butter and cut in using two knives. Add the buttermilk and mix until fully combined. Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface.  Cut biscuits out of the dough using biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on baking sheet and bake 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Gravy:
3tbsp butter
3tbsp flour (may vary)
1cup milk (may vary)
2sprigs of fresh Rosemary (finely chopped)
garlic salt to taste
freshly ground pepper to taste

While biscuits are in the oven, prepare the gravy.

Melt butter in a sauce pan. Once melted, add flour slowly while vigorously stirring. Slowly mix in milk. Stir in rosemary, garlic salt and ground pepper. You may need to add more flour and milk to get the right consistency. Keep warm and stirred until ready to serve.

Toppings:
Hard boiled eggs (chopped) and fresh bacon bits

Prepare: Cut warm biscuits in half and pour gravy on. Top with chopped eggs and fresh bacon bits and serve.
*If serving to guests, add a sprig of rosemary to the plate for presentation.
